Tone it Up

Looking for the perfect beach body for Spring Break and summer?  Meet Katrina and Karena, two fitness beauties who are not only great fitness coaches but excellent motivators to those who are looking to lose weight, live a healthy lifestyle, or just to “tone it up.”  The two are real life best friends, who are YouTube and social media sensations and are known for their motivational and enthusiastic fitness ideas, exercises, and food plans. Coming from someone who never knows what to do when it comes to working out, I live for their weekly workout routines to spice up my cardio days or my attempt to lift in front of the guys with their muscles bulging out at the gym.

Not only are these girls knowledgeable, but they actually care and are involved in your “Tone It Up” journey.  Right now, I am only signed up for their weekly newsletters and subscribed to them on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Even with those three things, I feel the love and support from these two women.

I have been contemplating joining the Tone It Up team where I am able to enjoy over 120 pages of recipes and tips including their popular #7DaySlimDown diet plan.  These two aren’t joking around.

I thought I’d share with you my workout I did today thanks to Katrina and Karena and their “Tone It Up Tuesday” workout that they share every Tuesday.

The nice thing about almost, if not all of their workouts is that they can be done at home, the gym, or the office.

Lean Legs & SHREDmill

  • 20 squats
  • 30 lunges
  • 40 toe touches
  • 50 second wall sit
  • 40 toe touches
  • 30 lunges
  • 20 squats

Break shortly (take a sip of water and breath)

SHREDmill

  • 3 minute brisk walk
  • 3 minute jog
  • 1 minute ‘sprint’ – as fast as you can
  • 1 minute jog
  • 1 minute ‘sprint’ – this speed can vary

Relax for 20-30 seconds

  • 20 pushups
  • 3 minute brisk walk
  • 3 minute jog
  • 1 minute ‘sprint’ – as fast as you can
  • 1 minute jog
  • 1 minute ‘sprint’ – this speed can vary

Relax for 20-30 seconds

  • 20 squat jumps
  • 3 minute brisk walk
  • 3 minute jog
  • 1 minute ‘sprint’ – as fast as you can
  • 1 minute jog
  • 1 minute ‘sprint’ – this speed can vary

Relax for 60-90 seconds

  • 20 situps
  • 3 minute brisk walk
  • 3 minute jog
  • 1 minute ‘sprint’ – as fast as you can
  • 1 minute jog
  • 1 minute ‘sprint’ – this speed can vary

Relax for 60-90 seconds

  • 30 second plank
  • 5 minute cool-down walk
