Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites
If I had a dollar for every time I said how much I love Nordstrom, I’d be able to afford this bag. Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale only happens once a year and to be completely honest, besides Christmas, it really is my favorite holiday (other than my birthday). Is there anything better than being able to shop for fall’s top trends two months in advance….ON SALE?  If you’re lucky enough to be a cardholder (I’ll hold off on my former Nordstrom employee rewards card pitch), you get to shop the sale before the general public.

The sale opens up completely on July 17 at 7:30 PM – make sure to shop early, prices officially go up August 4!

I’m proud to admit that I’ll probably shop the sale up until the last day possible, especially when I’m finding new steals everyday. Do you shop the Anniversary Sale? What are you looking to add to your fall wardrobe?

This Fall’s Darkest Lip Trend (literally)

Whether it’s for the shock value, your upkeep with the latest trends, or your daring sense of style – the color of the moment is (drumroll please…..) black lips. Whether you’re wearing a deep black onyx or a sheer washed out gunmetal – you are guaranteed to get a few double takes this fall. The question is: do you dare try this dark trend this fall? I’ve asked a few of my beauty-obsessed friends to send me their favorite “black out” lip – which one is your favorite? (Product names from above can be found here: Black Out).

Gino Baileau wearing: Makeup Forever Rouge Artist Intense in ‘Satin Black’

Kristina wearing: Mac pigment in ‘Dark Soul’ & Clear Lipglass mixed

Sam wearing: Obsessive  Cosmetics Cosmetics Lip Tar in ‘Tarred’

Jen wearing: NARS ‘Triple X’ gloss  mixed with NARS Black Moon eyeliner over  & lastly swiped  M•A•C’s ‘ Cyber’ lipstick to add a beautiful purple undertone.

Like any trend that comes along, it isn’t for everyone. The darkest I could go while still feeling comfortable was Bobbi Brown’s Black Raspberry (baby steps people).

What are your thoughts on dark lipstick?

Happy Halloween!
