Cold weather sucks. Your skin shouldn’t, ladies. It’s time to pack on the moisture with these below zero temperatures outside. Here are some of my favorite moisturizers to help lock in the moisture whether you’re oily, dry, or have sensitive skin.
|1| Kate Somerville’s Oil Free Moisturizer is one of the BEST moisturizers for someone who wants to protect their skin from fine lines and wrinkles, but has either sensitive or acne-prone skin. This oil-free moisturizer is packed with Algae-based Pepha-Tight® to help tone and moisturize the skin.
|2|This M-61 Hydraboost Moisturizer is the perfect way to maintain moisture this winter. It contains Vitamin B5, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid to help plump and replenish the skin’s moisture level.
|3| Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Cream is one of my favorite moisturizers by Fresh. Packed with antioxidants, this moisturizer has proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and firm and smooth the skin.
|4| The holy grail of moisturizers. Bobbi struck gold when she created this moisturizer. This product boosts natural collagen production and most importantly, improves the skin’s ability to hold in moisture. Ideal for someone who is on the dryer side.
Who would have thought that I’d have an obsession with a…….deodorant. Working in cosmetics you hear about a lot of great, affordable, and award winning products. One product that I hear about on a daily basis is Donna Karan’s “Cashmere Mist” deodorant. It is the ultimate “cult” product, you must try it to believe it. I finally decided to give it a whirl and believe me……I am addicted. It is soft and has a fresh scent that is desirable. It is scented enough that I am comfortable not wearing perfume to work, but not strong enough to be overbearing. This scent is so delicate. Not only does it smell good and go on the skin smoothly, but the antiperspirant itself is great. It controls sweating and perspiration great- keeping you fresh and dry all day long.
Notes: bergamot, jasmine, lily of the valley, suede, cashmere accord, sandalwood, amber, musk, vanilla.
What are your thoughts on this Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant? What’s your favorite?
Kiehl’s Creme de Corps – Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter
Between blizzards and salt that ruins your boots, one of the other things I hate most around winter time is dry skin. Dry skin not only feels gross, but it doesn’t look very attractive in that LBD, especially when your skin is scaly and peeling. Recently, I found a solution that takes away all my dry problems. It is Kiehl’s Creme de Corps – Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter. This miracle in a jar is filled with Shea and Jojoba butters leaving your skin feeling silky smooth.
Although I have found great lotions, nothing beats the smoothness and silkiness of your skin after using body butter especially this Kiehl’s one I have been eyeing for a while now. The consistency is thick so a little does go a long way. With this product you really want to make sure you get it into the skin so keep on rubbing until it’s infused into your skin leaving it feeling and smelling fabulous! Note: Your skin will feel a tiny bit sticky AT FIRST, but after 5 minutes it does go away and your skin will just feel soft and smooth. I like to load up on my body butter right after my shower, this way there is time to dry before I put on my clothes.
I like this product because unlike other body butters, Kiehl’s absorbs right into the skin giving your body & skin the hydration needed- perfect for winter dryness! This product is sure to leave you with the smooth, soft, and great looking skin you’ve been missing out on!
This product retails for $35 and believe me is worth every penny! Visit Kiehl’s to find out about this product and more!
