Valentine’s Day: Gifts For Him

A girlfriend's guide to Valentine's Day

Remember when it was cool to buy your boyfriend Curve gift sets in high school? Well…incase you didn’t get the memo, those days are long gone (RIP 2005). Now, luxurious beauty brands like Chanel and YSL have launched colognes that men love and women love to smell on them! A girlfriend of mine recently asked me what kind of cologne she should get her boyfriend for Valentine’s Day, apparently she’s over him smelling like he did when he was 17.

Colognes make the perfect gift if you are still looking for something sweet to get your man. Here are some of my favorite picks!

Thank you Nordstrom for providing descriptions for each cologne shown.

Tom Ford ‘Noir’ Eau de Parfum: An oriental, sensual fragrance that captures the twin facets of the Tom Ford man – the refined, urbane sophisticate who everyone gets to see and the intriguingly sensuous, private man they don’t.

Cartier ‘Declaration’ Eau de Toilette: A masculine, modern and elegant fragrance, dominated by fresh, woody notes. An original, distinctive composition that basks in a harmonious blend of cold spices.

Chanel Bleu De Chanel Eau de Toilette (absolute favorite): A woody aromatic fragrance for the man who defies convention and resists the ordinary every day, finding satisfaction in the unexpected. His fragrance, a provocative blend of citrus and woods, liberates the senses in a fresh, clean, profoundly sensual signature scent of determination and desire. Be unexpected.

Yves Saint Laurent ‘L’Homme’ Eau de Toilette: From the very first seconds, the fragrance reveals its intense freshness and sparkle. Then, it uncovers an originality with elegant floral notes and vibrating spicy notes. A magnetic and virile signature brings warmth and sensuality thanks to ambery, woody notes.

What are you getting the guy in your life for Valentine’s Day?
